NORTH COVENTRY, PA — A major marijuana growing operation was busted in Chester County last week, according to the District Attorney’s Office.

Three Cuban men were arrested at the home, which was located on the 900 block of Malvern Drive in North Coventry Township, authorities said.

Berto Quinones, 41, William Delgado, 46, and Yordanky Hevia-Martinez, 34, are in the country legally but could have their immigration status revoked, according to a criminal complaint

More than 100 mature marijuana plants were found in the home, along with a marmoset monkey which was being kept illegally, the criminal complaint states.

All three have been charged with felony counts of manufacture, delivery, or possession with intent to deliver drugs, authorities said.

Image of the interior of the grow house in North CoventryPolice were alerted to the operation when a hunter reported to the Pennsylvania Game Commission that he smelled marijuana nearby. Authorities had been watching the home since September of 2014, but they did not receive a search warrant until a confidential information came through with information recently, the criminal complaint states.

The three suspects were all remanded to Chester County Prison. Preliminary hearings are forthcoming.
