GAITHERSBURG, MD — Curaleaf, America’s biggest cannabis company, celebrated Friday the grand opening of its medical dispensary in Gaithersburg.
The store relocated from its previous space at 8355 Snouffer School Rd. to a 3,200-square-foot space at 10011 Stedwick Rd. The Gaithersburg-Germantown Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the occasion.
“We’re thrilled to open our newest retail location in Gaithersburg and look forward to continuing to develop meaningful connections within our community,” said Patrik Jonsson, Curaleaf’s regional president for the northeast. “Our commitment to patient education and wellness at this new location is reflected in our suite of premium cannabis products and exceptional retail experience, and we encourage new and existing patients to make Curaleaf a part of their cannabis journey.”
The Massachusetts-based company grows, processes, and sells cannabis through more than 100 dispensaries across the country. It was founded in 2010 — initially under the name PalliaTech — and rapidly became one of the biggest names in the cannabis industry.
“Lots of dispensaries just focus on cannabis. At Curaleaf, we focus on your relationship with cannabis. We value your history with it — or lack thereof — and your feelings towards this ancient plant
