Second marijuana dispensary clears next to last state hurdle – The Inquirer and Mirror

By Brian Bushard

(March 11, 2021) The island’s second marijuana dispensary, ACK Natural, received provisional approval from the state Cannabis Control Commission last month, leaving only a final round of inspections before it can start growing marijuana.

Co-owner Mike Sullivan expects the shop, at the intersection of Tomahawk Road and Spearhead Road near Nantucket Memorial Airport, to be open for business as soon as this summer.

“We still have some work to do but we’re getting there,” Sullivan said.

The dispensary will operate in a similar way to the island’s first pot shop, The Green Lady, on Amelia Drive. Customers will be checked in at the door, before being ushered into a room with four counters, and a selection of 12 strains of marijuana available in pre-rolled joints, chocolate bars, fruit chews, tinctures and cannabis flower for sale.
