Somerset's Solar Therapeutics dispensary workers win union election – Fall River Herald News

SOMERSET — Workers at Solar Therapeutics, a local cannabis dispensary, voted to join the United Food and Commercial Workers union on Wednesday, after management declined to voluntarily recognize the union.

“I am so proud of my coworkers for sticking together,” Erin Bosse, a worker at the dispensary, said in a statement provided by the union. “We love our jobs and know that by forming our union, we will be able to build a better future for all of us here at Solar.”

According to UFCW Local 328, workers at the dispensary voted 10-4 to join the union. The workers announced their intention to unionize in August, and said they would hold a vote through the National Labor Relations Board unless the company opted to recognize the union.
