PHILIPSBURG – A search that began Wednesday in Clearfield County is ongoing, police said Thursday.
According to a police report, officers were attempting to serve multiple arrest warrants Wednesday in three counties to Hunter Anderson, 23, at a home in the 300 block of Clearfield Street.
State police in Clearfield and Philipsburg, along with a Special Emergency Response Team, were at the scene to serve the warrants because of the nature of the charges, police said.
Police said they believed Anderson was inside of the home based on information given to them.
However, police said they discovered Anderson was never home after conducting a search of the house.
Police were still searching for Anderson as of noon Thursday.
Dismissal for Philipsburg-Osceola Area school students was affected Wednesday because of the police activity in Wallaceton, according to Superintendent Gregg Paladina.
Paladina officials were keeping the students at schools because buses and parents couldn’t get there to pick them up.
