A Wormleysburg woman was charged after police said she had shipments of 56.5 pounds of marijuana sent to her.

Sian Alicia Rose, 40, of the 200 block of North Second Street, was charged Wednesday after she went to a shipping store to pick up a box that contained about 25 pounds of marijuana, police said.

The investigation by the Cumberland County Drug Task Force began in December when FedEx reported to West Shore Regional Police that a large package of marijuana was addressed to Mail Room Etc., 1200 Market St., Lemoyne, said Det.  Adam Shope of the task force.

The box, addressed to Rose, was not delivered, and was found to contain about 31.5 pounds of marijuana, court records state.

Wednesday, a second shipment of suspected marijuana was reported by FedEx in Lewisberry. K9 Max of West Shore Regional Police alerted police that the box likely contained drugs. It was opened, and 25 pounds of marijuana was found inside, records say.

Rose was charged with two counts of manufacture, delivery or possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, and was placed in Cumberland County prison in lieu of $50,000 bail.
